Auxiliaries is a term used to describe non-native soldiers in Roman service.The term nowadays can almost be read as pejorative, but the auxiliaries ofImperial Rome were hard fighting men!

Well-equipped and well-trained these men, sometimes from quite diversebackgrounds and cultures, bonded together into tough units, officered by Romans.Auxiliary units did a great deal of the fighting despite the glory boys in theLegions receiving all the acclaim!
Warlord's Auxi­liaries can be used in any region where the might of the RomanWar Machine trod its iron-studded sandals. On our box art we show a unit ofCeltic Auxiliaries stationed in the Middle East, policing people who didn't wantpolicing just one of the many tough tasks carried out by the Auxilia.
Our 24 auxiliaries are equipped in chainmail and carry the hasta stabbing spearand gladius shortsword. They carry the trademark oval shield and could be seenon the battlefield supporting the Legions or as an independent force in theirown right.

The box contains:

• Enough plastic parts to make 20 Auxiliary models
• Metal Command Group – Optio, Centurion, Standard Bearer andHornblower
• 1 sheet of 35 shield transfers, with a clear background which will workover any coloured shield background.
