Description
Making up the core of the Belgian Army tasked with resisting the inexorableadvance of the German Blitzkrieg swarming across France and the Low Countries in1940, the Belgian Army infantry squad would largely follow the Great Wardoctrine of static defence.
The squad is led by a sergeant carrying an MP-28 submachine gun. TheFusil-mitrailleur 1930 (FM 30) Browning light machine gun (more commonly knownas the ‘Belgian BAR’) serves as the squad LMG, carried and operated by oneman. The remainder of the squad are armed with the Fusil 1889 rifle.
