The U.S. Marine Corps LAV-25 (Light Armored Vehicle) is a modular platformused for numerous roles the Marines fielded the LAV-AD in which the primaryarmament was replaced with a GAU-12 Equalizer 25mm 5-barreled Gatling cannon.In addition, it was equipped with four FIM-92 Stinger missiles each. Thiscombination provided the Marines with capable defense against helicopters andground attack aircraft.
