Bolt Action: Sd.Kfz 250 (Alte) half-track

The Sd.Kfz 250/1 was a reconnaissance and transport half-track mainly used byscout and HQ units. The vehicle was a shortened version of the ubiquitous Sd.Kfz251 Hanomag series and much like its longer cousin there were many variantsfulfilling different roles, such as cable carriers, ammunition carriers andradio carriers, amongst others. It carried six men including the driver and theco-driver and was armed with two pintle-mounted MG34 machine guns, one shieldedforward facing and the other covering the rear and air.

This model is based on the original ‘Alt’ (old) version which servedthrough World War II with the forces of Germany in all theatres as well as withtheir Romanian allies.

There are enough parts to build one of the followingversions:

• Sd.Kfz 250/1 – the standard version of this armoured half-track.
• Sd.Kfz 250/3 – command variant equipped with a radio aerial frame,famously used by Rommel as his personal command vehicle, Greif (Griffon).
• Sd.kfz 250/10 – platoon commander's half-track with the forward machinegun replaced by a 3.7cm PaK 35/36 anti-tank gun.

It also includes crew figures with separate heads wearing regular or winteruniforms as well as a figure depicting Feldmarschall Erwin Rommel!

This product is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints notincluded.
